How we build a flooring estimate
We review the finish plans, finish schedule, enlarged plans and specifications to confirm products, patterns, base types and substrate preparation. Rooms are measured in PlanSwift and Bluebeam and tagged by finish, perimeters are measured for base, and transitions are counted at every change in material. Waste factors, underlayment, setting materials and grout are added by product, and material and labor are priced at regional rates.

Do you include waste?
Yes. Waste is applied by product type, with higher allowances for patterned, diagonal or directional installations. The percentage is shown on each line so you can adjust it.

Yes. Wall tile, shower surrounds, backsplashes and shower pans are measured from the enlarged plans and elevations, along with membranes and setting materials.
